During the course of my Ph.D., I developed a non-equilibrium many-body theory of electronic and heat transport for single-molecule heterojunctions, under the guidance of Prof. Charles Stafford. Our approach is solve the ‘few-body’ molecular problem exactly (i.e. we include intramolecular interactions to all orders) and include the effect of attaching macroscopic leads via a tunneling selfenergy and a many-body Coulomb self-energy correction, which can be found using diagrammatic perturbation theory. My current research is focused on novel molecular devices and the effects of manybody correlations on the electronic, thermoelectric and optical responses of these devices.


In addition to research I enjoy hiking, playing violin, tea, bonsai trees, and surfing.
