There are two measures of per capita hours worked to be used for the homework. Neither has been logged….both should be logged. No detrending is required, as both measures are in per capita terms.

The Francis-Ramey data are in this excel file from Ramey’s website. The numbers we want are in the last column.

The other data are in this MATLAB file.

Both data series indicate what dates they cover. You should use the longest estimation period that you can, subject to all the data being available over that interval.
